Wedding Photographers Scottish Highlands – Stephen Peters Photography

Ivan and Emily got married at St. Catherines Church in the Lake District Cumbria. What an idyllic location this proved to be for them both.  A 1000 year old building at the base of Hard Knott Pass in a small hamlet known as Boot near Eskdale. Approached down an unmade road and after less than a mile arriving at a river with stepping stones, woodland and surrounded by mountains. Ivan is a real comedian and from the start was into the spirit of the day and Emily looked radiant. The sun shone, the guests were happy and the 1920 original Rolls Royce just set the whole scene off.  There were just so many opportunities to take photographs.

Don & Dot have reached an amazing 60 years married and it was a privilege to capture the evening for them.  The dinner was held at the Linthwaite Hotel Windermere Cumbria, a location I seem to be spending a lot of time at recently!  It was a joyous occasion with all the family round them many of whom had travelled some distance to celebrate this grand achievement with them.  As a wedding photographer in Cumbria this is what makes the job so worthwhile!
