Wedding Photographers Scottish Highlands – Stephen Peters Photography

We met up with Zaeed and Mumtaz at the Inn On The Lake Ullswater Cumbria for a re-run of their wedding day.  Mumtaz had explained that when they had got married they had been very disappointed with the wedding photography so they were keen to get dressed up again and have Stephen Peters Photography capture some images they could cherish in years to come.  This is part one of the result!

Mike and Emma’s photography was actually taken in Yorkshire but was still enjoyable none the less!  The location was Hazlewood Castle near Leeds, a truly magical place to get married and have your reception.

My own origins are Manchester where I was born and bred and my wife, Ruth, is an Essex girl.  Our three daughters were born in York, Rochdale and Reading and now all of us, including parents live in Kendal Cumbria. So no exotic connections to other parts of the world, although we are more than happy to carry out wedding photography assignments anywhere in the world!

Joe and Fiona were married at Kendal Parish Church Cumbria and then went across to the Castle Green Hotel Hotel for the reception.  As Cumbria Wedding Photographers we are nearly at the end of the wedding season, just one more to do with Ed & Sarah in Kirby Lonsdale and then a well deserved rest until 2012!

One more wedding to photograph now before the end of the year and what an interesting year it turned out to be.  It has been so good meeting up with so many new couples and sharing a very special day.  A wonderful trip this year to Italy taking in Venice, the Dolomites and Lake Garda and just love their Gelatia!  We have got some great venues to attend next year including the Langdale Chase Hotel Windermere, the Linthwaite Hotel Cumbria, Inn On The Lake Hotel, Lodore Falls Hotel Keswick, Castle Green Hotel Kendal,  Cartmel Racecourse Cartmel, Mitton Hall Lancashire, Leighton Hall Carnforth, Belsfield Hotel Windermere, The Midland Hotel Morecambe and the Stonecross Manor Kendal.  If you would like to meet and talk through your own wedding photography and exactly what you are looking for give us a ring! Matt & Emily enjoyed a lovely Summers day weather for their Pre Wedding Photography for which we went to the Brockholes Centre Windermere Cumbria. With stunning backdrops and beautiful gardens this is a great place to go for a photoshoot.  They were both extremely relaxed in front of the camera so it was easy to capture their love for one another.

I promised another set of photographs along a vintage theme so here they are.  If you are planning a wedding in one of the The Lake District Hotels then all the interior shots shown here are possible.  During the course of the wedding we will ensure we take a lot of ‘observation’ photographs but it also worthwhile allowing us to set up some posed shots for you.  Although most couples start out asking us to just take reportage photography we have never experienced any problems when asking couples to get ‘loved up’ for the camera and in most cases a number of these are chosen for the Album.

This was a little unusual as a Cumbria Wedding photoshoot because Andrew and Anna have been married for some time, however Anna has designed and made a range of wedding jewellery which she sells over the internet.  So we set this photoshoot up so they could both re-live their wedding day and have a portfolio of photographs to use for Anna’s new website.  This is just a small selection from the posed shots.

There is a growing trend for couples to want Vintage style photography for their wedding.  I took these photographs of Pablo and Anna whilst training with one of the top ten wedding photographers in the UK down in London.  So whilst they have an urban feel they could have been taken in any town or city.  I have then run all of them through a vintage post processing technique to give an idea what can be achieved with your own wedding.  If you like them watch out for a second set I will be blogging soon.
