George & Sabrina Balfreish Barns Weddings by Stephen Peters Photography.  What a gorgeous day and such a beautiful couple. George and Sabrina are Crofters and post regularly on Facebook.  They keep a stunning herd of sheep.  Now I am not an expert on sheep so I could not tell you what breed each type is. All I know is that they are in top condition. It was really good to be able to be with them on what turned out to be a superb day. Small is beautiful and this small intimate wedding was truly beautiful.  After the wedding Andy and Sarah moved out to Australia so it was a bittersweet moment for Sarah’s daughter and family who we know will miss her a lot.  The ceremony was held in a discreet venue with all the guests mixing with the Bride and Groom before the actual ceremony.  It was delightful to be a part of something so special. Jani & Rachel Isle of Skye Wedding

Jani & Rachel Isle of Skye Wedding was a wonderful occasion with the sun shining on the happy couple.  The Isle of Skye is a wonderful place to get married, whether that is a full on wedding or an elopement.

It was a privilege to be with Jani and Rachel on their special day.  We started with the boys who were getting ready up in Portnalong.  It was lovely to see the full regalia of a Scottish Groom, even if Jani hails from Norway.  Then it was down to Fiscavaig Bay to capture Rachel in the final throws of Bridal preparation.  What a backdrop as well from their garden.  A photographers dream.

Then it was a quick dash to Bracadale for the service, back to Fiscavaig Bay for Jani and Rachel’s photographs, complete with wellies! The day was complete when the three of us went up to Minginish Community Hall for some of the formal group photographs. Although we call them formal I am not an advocate of straight line smile at the camera images.  I much prefer to have some fun and create the right atmosphere, after all a wedding is a very happy time!

Rachel is a true local Isle of Skye girl and was able to teach me a few more words of Gaelic as well. Many thanks to you both for choosing Stephen Peters Photography, it was a super day.

Rob & Alissia’s Isle of Skye Wedding Photography

Rob & Alissia’s Isle of Skye Wedding Photography.  We have split Rob & Alissia’s wedding photography into two parts as there are so many photographs to tell the story of their day. Weddings in the countryside are fantastic at any time of the year but when the sun shines and the venue is a beautiful hotel leading down to a Loch it certainly makes our role as wedding photographers so much easier.  This wedding was last Sunday and we had finished processing all the images and uploaded them onto the private gallery by today.

Alissia then wrote the following message to us ‘We are extremely pleased with the photos. It just brings back all the memories from the day.  I felt like I was in a dream!  Thank you both so much it was the best thing we did having you as our photographers’.

We thought, just for a change, we would feature one of our Wedding Albums.  This was from a wedding we recently photographed at Hampton Manor, a stunning country hotel down near Solihull.  All of our Wedding Albums are handmade in Italy and there is so much choice it is a little overwhelming.  For covers there is a choice between Leather, Nappa Leather, Cowhide, Distressed Leather, Suede, Silk, Varnish and Crystal Glance (which is this cover shown here).  For the pages you can choose thin, thick, rigid and Digital Matted (which is this one).  You can also choose the finish on the page from metallic gloss, metallic silk, satin, textured and photographic.
