Wedding Photographers Lake District with Rob and Nicki at Lodore Falls

Despite many days of torrential rain in Cumbria the day Rob and Nicki had chosen for their Pre Wedding photoshoot turned out to be gorgeous weather that proved to be warm enough for them both to brave the chilling effects of Derwent water!  Now I have to say at this point that it is not a requirement from us that our Clients jump in a lake.  We do ask whether you are up for some fun (so long as we don’t have to get wet!) however that normally means a paddle in some low lying water.  Rob is a Physio for the British Olympic Team and clearly is extremely fit so we suspect that a short swim in the lake was bread and butter to him.  Anyway we had a great time and are really looking forward to their wedding in four weeks time when they are getting married at Jesus Church in Troutbeck and then holding a reception at Storrs Hall in Windermere.  We won’t be asking Nicki to jump in the lake with her wedding dress!  We will Blog some more of the Pre Wedding photoshoot in the future as there were so many fantastic images from the day but for now here is a small selection.

Wedding Photographers Lake District Signature Frame

We recently posted a short Wedding Photographers Lake District blog on our new Signature Frames which we now include with every newly booked Wedding photoshoot.  The photos we included showed the option with a black frame. Having recently received the other option of a Champagne frame we just wanted to display that too so everyone can see the quality of this new product which we are delighted to have.  This particular one is for Ian and Lindsay whom we will be joining in July at The Inn On The Lake Hotel Ullswater for their wedding photography.  It seems there is a greater trend this year to book the Photographer much later than known previously, so if you are still looking for a Wedding Photographer please call us, we still have some dates available this year.  July is going to be incredibly busy for us so keep up to date by following this blog or follow our Facebook page where you will find us under Lake District Wedding Photographer.

Lancashire Wedding Photographers Wedding Photoshoot in Morecambe

In last weeks Blog I promised to put up more photographs of Thomas and Natasha so here they are.  Changing the subject slightly we recently received a full analysis of visitors to our website and were surprised to find that 50% are located in London.  Now we do not know whether you are looking at our site with a view to us photographing your wedding in London or because you are planning a wedding in the Lake District.  Can we just say that we are more than happy to travel down to London to photograph your wedding if you would like us to do so.  We know that London rates can be quite high and although we would have to add travel costs to our invoice we would still be very competitively priced against our peers in the South.  So give us a call, whether you are planning a wedding in the South or looking for a wedding photographer in the Lake District.

Wedding Photographers Lancashire with Thomas & Natasha Wedding Photography

Thomas and Natasha were married last Saturday in Morecambe and then drove across to Thomas’s home town of Barrow for the Reception.  We stopped off on the way at Furness Abbey and captured some images in the small derelict section next to the car park. If you want to go in and actually use the Abbey itself there is an entry fee of £100 so if you are considering wedding photography there then make sure there is a bit extra in the budget!  It was a great day, beautiful sunshine, great crowd of people, lovely family and a pleasure to be part of their day.  The problem we faced with this Wedding Blog was deciding which images to leave out, there are so many we could share with you.  So we decided to show just a few this week and then Blog a Part 2 next week!  One photograph we must draw to your attention is the Guys leaping in the air.  The fellow on the left showing the most agility is actually Thomas’s Father, way to go Brian!

Lake District Wedding Photographer New Signature Frames

We recently changed our supplier of Signature Frames and are so pleased with the look of the new ones we thought we would share a couple of photographs of Thomas and Natasha’s frame that we are taking to their wedding tomorrow.  They are available with either a black or champagne frame and the print can either be 10 * 7 or 12 * 8.  Total size of the frame is 24 * 20.  During the reception Ruth will go to each of your guests and ask them to write a goodwill message on the mount and after all is done the acrylic cover is put in position and the Signature Frame is ready to hang.  This is a great way to keep a memory to cherish for the pre wedding shoot and the Wedding Day.  As we all know the day itself is soon over and for most Brides and Grooms passes like a blur, so signature frames and albums help to remind us of a very special day in our lives!

So tomorrow is a busy day with the wedding of this young and vibrant couple, so keep an eye out for their Wedding Blog which hopefully will be on this website by the end of next week.

And now having been at the wedding on Saturday this is what the Signature Frame is starting to look like after the first half hour of the Reception!

Cumbria Wedding Photographers with Anna Cherish The Dress Photoshoot

Here are a few images of the Cherish The Dress Wedding photoshoot we took with Anna who told us she wanted a Vintage theme for the shoot.  Whilst this shoot was underway Anna had also asked us to capture some product photography as she hand-makes vintage hair combs and you can find her products at www.thevintagehaircombcompany.co.uk.  The Old Mill was a perfect location for this kind of photography and Anna the perfect Bride!  Many thanks to Gemma who came along to look after the hair and make up arrangements. Gemma has her own business and can be found at www.hairforawedding.co.uk/.  I haven’t really had time to process many of the photographs from Anna’s shoot as we also had two other photoshoots on the same day, one with Amy which was a lifestyle shoot and the other with Katy with her three children, Brody, Joel and Robin.  Hopefully I will catch up with those galleries later this week.  Next up is a Wedding with Thomas and Tash in Morecambe and a follow on photoshoot around Furness Abbey amongst the Cloisters so really looking forward to that.

Lancashire Wedding Photography with Gareth and Lorna at Williamson Park Lancaster

This was the first time we had been to Williamson Park in Lancaster for a Pre Wedding Photoshoot although we have been as ‘tourists’ in the past when our own daughters were little.  It is a great facility set in 54 acres of parkland.  The Ashton Folly, which I understand was built by the inventor of linoleum, provides a wonderful backdrop for wedding photography and there is also a butterfly house, bird enclosure and cafe.  We had met Gareth and Lorna some months earlier and as they both live near Lancaster suggested that the Park was a good place to meet up.  They are due to get married in December this year when we will be joining them for their wedding photography and Lorna is hoping for a thin layer of snow.  We will see!  In any case we are sold on the Park as a great location and we could not have asked for a better evening with the light breaking through the tree canopy.

As well as including a pre wedding shoot with all our wedding photography packages, and a Signature Board which Ruth takes round all the guests at the Wedding Reception, we also have found that many couples are now also procuring for themselves a hardbound photobook containing between 40-50 photographs from the pre wedding shoot.  If you are planning on getting married and would like Schtuff Photography as your Wedding photographers be sure to ask us what all the options are.

Cumbria Wedding Photographer with Ian & Lindsay at Inn On The Lake Ullswater

We met Ian and Lindsay almost two years ago at the Wedding Fayre at The Inn On The Lake Ullswater, Cumbria when they booked us for their wedding in July this year at the very same location.  So it had been a long time since we had seen them and we wondered how we would get on after all this time. We had arranged to meet up at the Hotel and then go out to various location for their Pre Wedding shoot from there. Well the good news was that we recognised each other although the first thing Lindsay told us was that they were both very camera shy. Yeah! We are sure as you look through a selection of their photographs below you will agree that they took to it like ducks to water.  Lindsay told us that they had booked us at the Fayre because they immediately felt comfortable with us and that was reciprocated by ourselves too.  We had a lovely evening together as we meandered over the hills of the Northern Lake District and now we cannot wait for the wedding.

You might also be interested in looking at our other photo-shoot this week when we were commissioned to photograph HRH Prince Charles visit to Staveley in Cumbria.  Now we have worked as a Royal Photographer it has been suggested that we should add an extra nought to all our prices!  The good news is we have our feet on the ground and the status quo will be retained!

Lake District Wedding Photographer with Michael & Katie at Tarn Hows

We met up with Michael and Katie at Tarn Hows on Saturday morning, arriving to find a beautiful sunny day, fluffy clouds and not too many tourists!  Now we have lost count of the number of Pre wedding shoots we have done and how many times we have asked our Couples to get into the water, usually with a lot of verbal encouragement that the water is really not as cold as it feels.  With Michael however no asking was required.  I put my camera bag down to get set up and as I turned around Michael was already in up to his waist, turning over rocks and gleefully showing us such delights as black leeches.  Now we know that the water was freezing cold but as we got cameras into position Katie forged in as well and proved just as game as Michael.  There were some shots I missed because I was laughing too much, my apologies guys.  But it was a real delight to photograph them both as they are so obviously into each other, big style.  The wedding is in September so we look forward to that as well.

Cumbria Wedding Photographer with Thomas & Tash Pre Wedding Photoshoot

We had two Pre Wedding Photoshoots on Saturday, one in the morning with Michael and Katie which we will blog a little later and then in the afternoon with Thomas and Tash.  As is so often the case in the Lake District the weather changed completely over the lunch time period and by the the time Thomas and Tash arrived at the agreed location the rain was coming down hard, as can be seen from some of the photographs.  We have blogged their pre wedding photoshoot first as they are due to get married in May whilst Michael and Katie follow in September.  Anyway both couples got into the swing of things very quickly and although both got very wet (for different reasons as will be seen when we blog Michael and Katie’s shoot) were very much relaxed with the whole process.
