Ross & Rachel Wedding Clava Mains Daviot Inverness

Ross & Rachel Wedding Clava Mains Daviot Inverness despite restrictions of wearing masks was the most beautiful of days.  Like a lot of couples Ross and Rachel had to postpone their original date for the wedding but eventually we got there. The Clava Mains event centre was a new venue for me but provided so many opportunities for memorable photographs, definitely a place I can recommend for Weddings. View full post »

Abhishek & Akshita Engagement Isle of Skye

Abhishek & Akshita Engagement Isle of Skye what a day this turned out to be. Well actually we shot this over two separate one hour sessions. Akshita had no idea Abs was going to propose to her.  Abs and myself had been communicating with each for several weeks before they were actually able to come to the Island. So we planned the actual proposal to be held at Sligachan on the first day at 4pm.  I was to hide myself and take the photographs without Akshita realising I was there.

It went like a dream and was very emotional, for all three of us! Of course Akshita accepted the engagement ring and at that moment Abs let her into the secret that it was all on camera. The weather was typical Skye with clouds gathering around the Cuillins but it all contributed to the dramatic scene that unfolded.

We arranged to meet the following day at a similar time down at Talisker Bay. Abs didn’t know about the Bay until I sent him some photographs before they travelled up from Manchester. What a shoot that turned out to be though as you can see from the blog that follows. They were over the moon with their photographs and I was over the moon being with them.  Despite all the delays due to Covid it all went so well.

Michael & Sammy Inverness Wedding Photographer

Michael & Sammy Inverness Wedding Photographer was yet another fantastic wedding.  As you will see Sammy’s Dad got all emotional when seeing her for the first time in her Wedding Dress. The Bridesmaids were determined to make it a fun day and Sammy’s Mum was enjoying the endless supply of Prosecco. Well maybe that is a little exaggeration! Michael and his mates looked super cool in their tweed ensemble and what is more were ready on time when I arrived. View full post »

Tom & Amy Isle of Skye Wedding Photographer

Tom & Amy Isle of Skye Wedding Photographer was a great day by the loch. All the lads, including Tom, were up for a laugh before the main event. Amy’s Dad was suitably emotional when he first caught sight of Amy in her wedding dress.  What a beautiful Bride Amy was though, no wonder Dad struggled to hold it together.  It is such a privilege to be with a Couple on their wedding day. Andy & Sarah Isle of Skye Elopement & Wedding Photographer

Andy & Sarah Isle of Skye Elopement & Wedding Photographer.

Small is beautiful and this small intimate wedding was truly beautiful.  After the wedding Andy and Sarah moved out to Australia so it was a bittersweet moment for Sarah’s daughter and family who we know will miss her a lot.  The ceremony was held in a discreet venue with all the guests mixing with the Bride and Groom before the actual ceremony.  It was delightful to be a part of something so special. Jani & Rachel Isle of Skye Wedding

Jani & Rachel Isle of Skye Wedding was a wonderful occasion with the sun shining on the happy couple.  The Isle of Skye is a wonderful place to get married, whether that is a full on wedding or an elopement.

It was a privilege to be with Jani and Rachel on their special day.  We started with the boys who were getting ready up in Portnalong.  It was lovely to see the full regalia of a Scottish Groom, even if Jani hails from Norway.  Then it was down to Fiscavaig Bay to capture Rachel in the final throws of Bridal preparation.  What a backdrop as well from their garden.  A photographers dream.

Then it was a quick dash to Bracadale for the service, back to Fiscavaig Bay for Jani and Rachel’s photographs, complete with wellies! The day was complete when the three of us went up to Minginish Community Hall for some of the formal group photographs. Although we call them formal I am not an advocate of straight line smile at the camera images.  I much prefer to have some fun and create the right atmosphere, after all a wedding is a very happy time!

Rachel is a true local Isle of Skye girl and was able to teach me a few more words of Gaelic as well. Many thanks to you both for choosing Stephen Peters Photography, it was a super day.

John & Jane Isle of Skye Wedding Photographer and Videographer

John & Jane Isle of Skye Wedding Photographer and Videographer were on hand to record this wonderful wedding.  A fabulous time was had by all including a trip to a piece of ground full of cow pats! So we very carefully positioned Jane so that she didn’t end up with a wedding dress that needed an expensive cleaning bill at the end. View full post »

Anthony & Lucy Isle of Skye Wedding Photography

Anthony & Lucy Isle of Skye Wedding Photography was a lovely day with the Bride and Groom, Anthony and Lucy, who were clearly very much in love.  We were blessed with a beautiful day and very friendly family and guests. Whilst we were down on the jetty a couple who had a boat moored noticed us taking the wedding pictures and by surprise brought across two glasses of champagne. View full post »
