Elopement Photographer Isle of Skye with James & Kate.
We had a fantastic time with James and Kate at the Fairy Pools and then down to Glenbrittle beach. They had travelled up from Portishead near Bristol for their Isle of Skye Elopement.
Due to it being the middle of August the Fairy Pools were extremely busy with visitors and midges. So although the original plan had been to hold the Ceremony in that location we decided to head down to the black sand beach of Glenbrittle. What an excellent choice that turned out to be. The beach was very quiet at the far end and due to a very pleasant breeze there were no midges at all!
For those who do not know midges do not like extreme heat nor do they like a breeze or wind above 4mph. So there were just five of us on the beach together, James & Kate, Davina McCluskie the Wedding Celebrant, her partner Robert who acted as a Witness and myself, also doing my bit as a witness. After the Ceremony, which was sealed with a dram of Talisker whisky kindly supplied by Davina, we headed off to a rather beautiful waterfall. So perhaps not a fairy pool but we can call it a Fairy Fall instead. Many thanks to all involved but particularly James and Kate for choosing Stephen Peters to record their very special day.
